The 23rd Women’s European Softball Championship will take place in the Barcelona region, Spain. Starting Sunday, July 24, 2022, 21 teams will compete in 99 matches to determine the 2022 European champion. The top three teams will qualify for the first stages of the WBSC World Cup.
Twenty-one teams are in Barcelona, Spain, to compete in the 2022 Women’s European Softball Championship. Divided into four pools, the national teams will play nearly 100 matches to crown the European champion and qualify for the WBSC World Cup. The medalists will indeed participate in the second phase of the 2023 WBSC World Cup.
Italy, Poland, Croatia, Belgium, and Greece are in Pool A;
The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Ireland, and Switzerland are in Pool B;
The Czech Republic, France, Ukraine, Great Britain, and Turkey are in Pool C;
Israel, Spain, Slovakia, Denmark, Finland, and Malta are in Pool D.
The France team starts its campaign at 16:30 against the Czech Republic
