Across France, bats, balls, and gloves have reunited. Starting this Saturday, junior matches in the 6U, 12U, and 15U divisions set our young players free to return to competition. Mixed, men’s, and women’s softball teams also took to the fields again. Social media is flooded with sun-drenched photos, smiles, and the sheer joy of reuniting. It was a celebratory Opening Day, with Division 1 and 2 baseball kicking off their championships. Players rediscovered each other, some having grown and matured, others accelerating their progress during the 290-day « closure » of sports. Overseas players arrived on major leagues, often just the day before their matches.
Beyond photos, videos have started to emerge. Live streams are beginning to appear. Thanks to the Swishlive app, you can film and broadcast on Facebook or YouTube. You can also do this on the Baseball TV France app by requesting your streaming codes at the following address: baseballtvfrance@gmail.com
The match replays are then available on the app and on your YouTube channels.
On our end, we broadcast our first live stream from La Rochelle on the Baseball TV France app. It went well, though there are improvements to make (landscape mode on Android smartphones, streaming duration…). Everything will gradually get better for the next live streams. Live broadcasts will be available directly on the app, with replays on the app and on the clubs’ YouTube channels.
Whew, we’re back in action…
