Two players share their experiences:
Mathis Nayral
Our team heading into the French Open was pretty competitive, with several players from France’s national development squads, though we had a small squad with just 10 players. Arriving in Chartres, we knew we had what it takes to win the Open, but we were also aware that if we didn’t play our game, we could have missed out on the title. We managed to stay focused in the semi-final and final, delivering quality at-bats and throwing plenty of strikes. I’m happy with my offensive performance and my pitching too, despite a tough inning at the end of the game. Overall, I put in a solid performance, and the most important thing is that we brought home the trophy.

Pierre Doat
Of course, when I go into a tournament, I’m determined to win it. I think that’s where any competitor finds their joy, especially when the opposition is strong. Our team had 10 solid players, both defensively and offensively. We showed our mettle and kept our cool in pressure moments. I’m proud of this team and what we’ve achieved, and we’ll be back next year to defend our title.
