The Houston Astros (Texas) struck hard last night at home in the ‘Minute Maid Park’, 7-2 against the Atlanta Braves (Georgia). The 2021 World Series is underway since October 26th. The final starts strong. One game apiece. The champion will have to defeat their opponent four times. A duel in the purest American tradition, a cultural step. In baseball across the Atlantic, there are no draws (as in Asia). One must vanquish the other. The Texas franchise has only participated in 3 World Series, winning just one in 2017.

The men of Dusty Baker (72), iconic coach of the Astros since 2020 (started his playing career with Atlanta from 1968 to 1975!) face Brian Snitker (66), manager of Atlanta, elected ‘Manager of the Year’ for 2020. Atlanta has participated in 9 World Series, winning 3 (the last in 1995).
The ‘Astros’ dominated their opponents in the second confrontation with a ‘solo shot’ from ‘Little Big Man’, José Altuve. The charismatic Venezuelan second baseman, who bats .278 in the season, is no stranger to a home run in the ‘post-season’, this is his 22nd.

The next game is tonight. We’re off for 3 games at ‘Truist Park’ in Georgia.
