Over the Easter weekend, the second edition of the French Women’s Baseball Open will take place. The Expos d’Ermont club, just north of Paris, will host this competition. Women’s baseball and softball are gaining more and more exposure, with the super league in softball also making waves.

In women’s baseball, France is on a roll, much like baseball 5. Two-time European champions, the French Women’s Baseball Team is even qualified for the World Cup. This weekend, the French selection will be partly made from the clubs competing here.
How will it work?
Six teams from clubs, leagues, or alliances will face off in 11 matches over the three days. The final will be held on Monday at 14:30. The group stages will be played on Saturday and Sunday.

The Ermont club is gearing up to host this event, preparing the field, scoreboards, and even a live broadcast via the Federation’s networks. The club was recently featured in a Federation article: here
Some teams are made up of league collectives, like the Normandy league team that won the alpha edition organized in 2022 in Valenciennes. Players from Louviers, Rouen, St Lo, Le Havre, and Caen make up this squad. The same goes for the Hauts-de-France region and the alliance of three clubs (Widcats, Bat, and Royals). The host club, Ermont, has formed a team under the name Angels United, complete with a striking logo.

Competition kicks off Saturday, April 8th, at 10:00 AM.
