Baseball and softball return after the summer break
Finally! After a quiet summer except for Division 1 baseball, baseball and softball fields are back to their intense action. While Division 1 baseball takes a final weekend off before the highly anticipated final between Montpellier and Rouen, the sports scene is heating up: Division 2 baseball semifinals, the 9th matchday of Division 1 women’s softball, and the Division 3 baseball playoffs in the background.
Division 2 Baseball: Four teams, one ticket to the top

Four teams, all finishing first or second in their pools during the regular season. Four clubs with a common goal: securing promotion to Division 1 in 2026, replacing Metz.
After weeks of waiting, the best-of-three semifinal series kicks off with two promising matchups: PUC vs. Nice, and Meyzieu vs. Valenciennes. The pool winners have home-field advantage, putting Nice and Valenciennes in a strong position. Given this season’s results, a final between these two teams seems almost inevitable… almost. Because in sports, nothing is ever guaranteed. Note that the Vipères de Valenciennes’ games will be broadcast on Vipères TV, to the delight of their supporters.
Division 1 Women’s Softball: Back after a two-month break

On the softball side, it’s also a big comeback after a long break: nearly two months separate the 8th and 9th matchdays of the championship. The Comanches de Saint-Raphaël still lead the standings, while Colombes brings up the rear.
The usual outsider, the Pharaonnes d’Évry, are struggling this season to keep up with the leader. As they approach the penultimate matchday, it’s the bottom four teams facing off: Colombes hosts Pessac, and Grenoble welcomes Clapiers. The other teams, just back from their European commitments, will have time to catch their breath before diving back into the championship on September 21st for the final matchday.
Division 1 Men’s Softball: The finalists are already known!

Same story for the men. Évry and Nice are comfortably leading and tied at the top. They face Contes and Pessac respectively twice and may finally separate themselves in this penultimate matchday of the championship, but there’s no doubt they’ll meet again on September 20th and 21st for the best-of-three final.
