The Phillies and Astros clash. The underdogs, the Phillies, making their playoff debut, gave the more experienced Astros a run for their money.
The standout moment of this final came in Game 4, with the Astros’ center fielder making an incredible catch. The momentum shifted there, and the Phillies have since let the Astros cruise to victory, giving manager Dusty Baker his first World Series title.
In this Game 6, Astros’ left-handed ace Valdez was decisive. Just like in 2017, the Astros win the World Series and ‘launch into space’ from their Houston base. Alvarez’s three-run homer on the first pitch of the relief appearance set the tone for the game. A ninth inning with three fly-outs clearly showed the Astros’ dominance.

Throughout the final series, Jeremy Peña took home the MVP title with a batting average above .400 over six games.

Now, the 2022 American baseball season is over. All that’s left is to name the MVPs of the year, with Judge and his 62 home runs going head-to-head with Ohtani and his impressive batting and pitching averages.
