The competition is set to resume in France for softball, and it will be more vibrant than last year
Women’s Softball

While only four teams competed in the 2021 championship, this year will see eight teams battling it out. There were five in 2019. New teams include Nice Cavigal, Paris BAT, and BCF.
The Division 1 championship will therefore be more intense with more matchdays, showcasing the growing strength of women’s sports. Four matchdays will be organized from March 20th to July 10th. The playoffs and playdowns will follow on the weekend of July 17th-18th. The winner of the French Series Women’s Softball will be crowned on October 8th and 9th. The Comanches of Saint-Raphaël will defend their title, which they have held for at least four years.

Men’s Softball

Seven teams will compete in the men’s category. While there were only four in 2019, there were eight last year. The championships continue with the challenge of maintaining a consistent number of participating teams.
They begin the competition on March 26th with four matchdays that will conclude on May 8th. Playoffs and playdowns will follow on May 21st and 22nd. The champion will be decided in a best-of-five series over the weekends of September 3rd-4th and 24th-25th. The Barracudas of Montpellier have dominated this championship for four years and will defend their title.
