The French Division 2 Baseball Championship is the second tier of French baseball. Launched in 2013 as an intermediate division between Division 1 and Nationale 1, which was previously the second national level. Starting in 2019, Nationale 1 disappeared and was merged into Division 2, which expanded from 8 to 16 teams.

A season consists of two phases: a regular season where teams face off in doubleheaders by geographic pools, and a playoff phase featuring the top 2 teams from each pool. Each pool then sends a winner to the quarterfinals and semifinals. A championship series between the top two playoff teams concludes the season. Champions: 2020: Covid. 2019: Templiers Sénart. 2018: Stade Toulousain. 2017: Boucaniers La Rochelle. 2016: Cougars de Montigny. 2015-2014: Équipe Fédérale. 2013: French Cubs Chartres. The D2 French champion earns a spot in D1!
