Division 1 baseball takes a break except for a makeup game, while Division 1 women’s softball resumes action. Division 2 kicks off its 8th matchday.

A makeup game between Sénart and Metz might finally take place at the Cometz field, weather permitting. If storms and heavy rain don’t interfere, this match will finally go ahead. The two teams haven’t faced each other yet this season, either in the league or the France Challenge. A double victory for Sénart could lift them above Rouen and Savigny in the standings, while pushing Metz down to seventh. Meanwhile, a double win for Metz wouldn’t change their position. Given both teams’ steady improvement, a split result seems most likely.

Division 2 Baseball
This is the 8th matchday, right in the middle of the season, and it’s essentially a repeat of last weekend’s fixtures, just with home and away reversed. Given the disparity between teams, results might mirror last weekend’s outcomes. Valenciennes could put up a stronger fight this time, aiming to win both their games. If they do, the standings in both pools should remain unchanged. Otherwise, we might see a three-way tie for first place in Pool A, with Valenciennes joining the PUC at the top.

Division 1 Softball
The six women’s softball teams return after a thrilling France Challenge, won by Evry. Remember, the Comanches lead the standings, while Grenoble sits at the bottom.

If they replicate their Challenge performance, the Comanches should keep their momentum and maintain their lead. They’ve only lost one game all season, to Pessac in the 4th matchday.
