No D1, no softball, a bit of D2, and especially an All-Stars Game: that’s the lineup for the big weekend of July 14th.
Baseball Division 2
Final matchday of Pool A with three games to wrap up the regular season. This will determine the two playoff spots and the two relegation playoffs. In Pool B, the two playoff spots are already decided: Clermont and Béziers, and the relegation playoff is for La Rochelle. There’s still some suspense for the fourth playoff spot and also for the relegation playoffs, where Ronchin must save their skin against Dunkerque, who are lurking.

Rouen vs. Ronchin
Rouen can hope to secure second place ahead of Sénart by winning both of their games, and Ronchin can hope to avoid the relegation playoffs by winning at least one game. Indeed, Dunkerque is two wins behind.
Valenciennes vs. Sénart
Valenciennes is guaranteed to finish top of their pool, even if they lose both of their games. Sénart, on the other hand, must win at least one game to secure second place, provided Rouen doesn’t win both of their games against Ronchin. If Rouen loses both of their games, Sénart is already ahead. If Rouen splits their games and Sénart loses both of theirs, it will be a tie, and tiebreaker rules will apply.
Dunkerque vs. La Guerche de Bretagne
Dunkerque has one foot in the relegation playoffs, and La Guerche has both. If Dunkerque wins both of their games, they can hope to be tied with Ronchin if the latter lose both of their games against Rouen.
All-Star Game

In Metz, several games will take place on Saturday, July 15th, along with an exhibition tournament. A juniors match in the morning, the France national team against a selection of the best foreign players from D1 in the afternoon, and a Home Run Derby in the late afternoon.
We will dedicate a special All-Stars article tomorrow, Saturday.
