From 1913 to 1930, the Ranelagh Paris Baseball team ruled the ‘Paris Baseball League’!
The first French Championship got underway between Bois de Boulogne, Plaine Bagatelle, and Stade Elizabeth. Six Franco-American teams laid the groundwork for our sport.

In 2021, our collective of French players teamed up with players from all corners of the globe… French, Mexican, American, Korean, Taiwanese, Australian, Dominican, and Japanese players based in Paris came together to revive the Ranelagh Paris Baseball Club in the 16th arrondissement, the birthplace of French baseball!
Together in the heart of the capital, they remembered that in 1924, during the Olympic Games, Ranelagh had the honor of showcasing the very first baseball demonstration in Olympic history against a team of US players!
A century later, the grandson of Robert Berthet, one of Ranelagh’s founders, entrusted us with the official certificate signed by Pierre de Coubertin himself!

Though our sport wasn’t selected for the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Ranelagh players celebrated their ancestors and the 100th anniversary of the French Baseball and Softball Federation, founded by journalist Frantz Reichel.
In 2024, at dawn, under the watchful eye of the Eiffel Tower and director Manuel Gaudichon, we took over the Trocadéro plaza to do what we love… play baseball!
