We highlighted this in a recent article ‘The Streaming Community’ on March 5, 2022. There’s a growing trend in broadcasting matches in France.
The frustration is palpable when an important match isn’t broadcast. Right now, for example, we’d love to watch the French national team live. Numerous comments on social media show this is poorly received.
As for France’s Division 1, we know that teams from La Rochelle, Sénart, and Montpellier broadcast all their home matches. This year, we’re excited about the arrival of a new club: the Rouen Huskies.
Let’s hear from their president: Pierre-Yves Rolland
The Huskies plan to develop their own digital TV channel. In the past, we’ve broadcast major competitions or finals several times, always using external providers and with great success. And we’ve noticed that this doesn’t stop fans from coming to the field to support the team.
This time, the project is more ambitious as we aim to buy our own equipment and create our own production team. French baseball and softball suffer from a lack of visibility. As a 16-time French champion, our club must set an example and contribute, like other clubs, to promoting our sports.
Huskies TV will be a promotional tool for our sports but also a fantastic way to grow our club. More matches broadcast, but also coverage of youth games, women’s softball, and adapted sports team matches… Huskies TV will be the channel for all our club’s sections!
The plan is to launch it before the CEB European Cup, which takes place from June 8 to 12.
We thank in advance the donors who will help baseball and softball continue their progress in the French sports landscape.

The chosen broadcasting platform will be a new website.
Of course, we’ll relay on Baseball TV France all broadcasts by Rouen’s Huskies TV, just like those by other clubs.
