Division 2
It’s official: the 2021 D2 champion has been crowned. The Pirates of Béziers have been relentless, overwhelming the formidable Tigers of Thiais.
Just two games and only 12 innings (7 and 5), with scores of (6-3) and (2-12), were enough for the new French champions to add a unique page to their history.
Being champions also means nine dates to deliver for a roster. Having emerged as joint leaders of Pool D in the regular season, the Béziers side has since shaken things up.
They dashed Thiais’ hopes with 18 runs, 19 hits (including 3 doubles), 7 walks, and 1 stolen base. BRAVO!
Division 1
The MUC’s hopes of a final berth are over. The Huskies eliminated the Barracudas, who were missing several key players, in three wins to one.

The other semifinal saw the Templiers overcome the Lions in four games as well.

The championship final of the top division will therefore pit the Rouen Huskies against the Sénart Templiers, in the grand tradition of French baseball. Will the 2021 season confirm the Normandy side’s near-total dominance for two decades? Or will a light shine for the fans of unpredictable, ever-changing, and therefore entertaining baseball?
See you on October 17th for the first two games. The rest on the 23rd and 24th. The French title is up for grabs in three wins.
The French title also opens the door to the European baseball stage for the winner.
