The French Women’s Division 1 starts this new weekend with a ranking that looks like a map of ambitions. At the top, Saint-Raphaël advances like the Invincible Armada: ten wins in ten matches, a perfect percentage, a domination that leaves no room for doubt: the Comanches no longer play to win, they play to make history.
Just behind, Évry-Courcouronnes and Pessac share the same pace, seven wins each, a ratio that places them between confidence and vigilance. The Pharaonnes want to prove that they can still challenge the throne, while the Panthères, more discreet but just as sharp, dream of a royal pounce.
Colombes, fourth, remains in the zone of possibilities. Four wins, six defeats, but a tenacious impression: that of a team capable of turning everything around when the mechanics align. The Wildcats play each match as a promise of rebirth.
Grenoble, fifth, is still looking for the light. Only two wins, but a combative spirit that never fades. The Grizzlys know that an exploit against a giant can relaunch everything.
And at the bottom, Metz and Issy-les-Moulineaux are still looking for their first win of the season.
Pessac: 9
Pessac dominated the game like a team that knows exactly what it wants: to impose its pace, suffocate the opponent, and let Louise Le Chenadec finish the job.
And that’s exactly what happened.
Travers hit two hits and produced a point. Riera continues her season as a boss (1/3, 1 RBI, 1 SF, 1 R, 0 PB). Graves (1/3, 1 RBI, 1 R), Hayes (1 RBI, 1 SF), Just (1/2, 1 R)… all contribute to Pessac’s grip on the game.
And then there’s Louise Le Chenadec. Seven complete innings. 11 bat retirements. Only four hits conceded.
Nice, however, did not disappoint. Anaisie Bugna hit a double and three RBIs. Peculier, Rousselot, and Audrey Bertrand added important hits. But too many poorly managed defensive sequences, too many inaccurate pitches.
Player of the Match 1: Louise Le Chenadec for her complete game with 11 Ks.
Strong>CavigalSaint-Raphaël2e place avec un bilan de 8–2, devant Grenoble (6–4) et Montauban (4–6).Second place. The Panthers confirm their consistency and remain in a direct pursuit position. Évry-Courcouronnes, third, is still in touch with a match in hand. The Pharaonnes remain one of the most consistent teams on the board and retain all their chances in the fight for the top places.
Colombes is in fourth position. The Wildcats alternate performances but remain in the race for a balanced score. Grenoble, fifth, and Nice, sixth, close the march. The two teams will imperatively have to find the path of victory to hope to climb the rankings during the second half of the season. The Nice team must imperatively unblock their scoreboard.
