Softball takes a break, leaving baseball in Divisions 1 and 2 to take center stage.
Baseball Division 1
The standings are starting to shift, and pivotal moments are here. This weekend could make or break several teams’ seasons with every win or loss.
Two teams are on a bye this weekend: Toulouse and La Rochelle. Notably, very few 18U players will be on the field this weekend due to their commitment to the European Cup next week.

Montigny hosts Sénart. Two losses for the Cougars would be catastrophic. Recovering in the standings afterward would be nearly impossible given the upcoming matches. Sénart, on the other hand, can quietly climb the standings and aim for the fourth spot.
Editor’s prediction: A split between the two teams
At the top of the table, Rouen travels to Montpellier. The Huskies have regained their form. Their winning streak (7 straight victories) helped them secure the top spot last week. Based on season statistics and home-field advantage, the Barracudas have the edge on paper.
Editor’s prediction: A split between the two teams
Metz hosts Savigny. The Lions have shown impressive form since the start of the year. Metz has gained resilience and knows how to fight, especially with pitcher JFL on the mound.

Baseball Division 2

Two major clashes, one in each pool, will take place this weekend. Valenciennes travels to Paris to face PUC in Pool A, and Clermont hosts Nice in Pool B. If any of these four teams manages a double win, the playoff standings will become clearer, and we can better speculate on the playoffs. In Pool A, the suspense is greater, and Rouen vs. Ronchin should also provide insights into the second-place playoff contenders.
