We’re in the final stretch of the regular season. Some teams have already been eliminated, while others are still fighting to make the playoffs or avoid the play-downs. On the schedule: a D1 matchday, a D2 matchday for Pool A only (Pool B is already decided), and a D1 women’s softball matchday.
D1 Women’s Softball

Grenoble leads the pack, with each team having played 14 matches. The clash between the top two could be decisive for Clappiers. They trail Grenoble by three matches and must beat them twice to close the gap and aim for at least a tie in the final matchday in September. Other teams like Evry and Saint-Raphaël also have a lot to play for, as victories in their two matches could see them catch up to Clappiers and even share second place. Playing time has increased thanks to the Super League, and the competition is tightening among these clubs. It’s a tightly contested championship, and that’s great for us fans.

Pool A, with its seven teams, has two more matchdays to play. Valenciennes, at the top, will aim to secure their position by beating Rouen. Sénart, hosting Ronchin, will try to close the gap on second place, which means playoffs. Ronchin, meanwhile, needs wins to avoid the play-downs. The same goes for Dunkerque, who host Thiais. Each of these teams still harbors hopes of staying up. There will be one final weekend on July 16th to definitively end the regular season.
Broadcasts at Valenciennes on Vipères TV and at Sénart on Templiers TV.
D1 Baseball

Last weekend shook up our certainties a bit. Nice and Rouen are resting in this 13th matchday.
Pool A: Toulouse has two matches in hand and faces the PUC. The latter have gained momentum this season and are capable of springing a surprise. Toulouse, however, split with Montigny, who are currently the team of the moment. The Cougars travel to La Rochelle, where they won the last encounter. However, the Rochelais, buoyed by their double victory over Rouen, are riding high.
Editor’s predictions: Splits for all four teams.
Pool B: It’s the big showdown between Sénart and Montpellier. Both teams are currently the strongest in terms of batting and pitching. It’s hard to see one team winning both matches.
Savigny hosts Metz. The latter are becoming increasingly resilient and will want to snatch a game against a higher-ranked team. They know they’ve saved their season, so the Cometz will give it their all to force a split.
Editor’s predictions: Splits for all four teams.
Broadcast at La Rochelle on BTVF
