The Baseball TV France app made its debut at the start of the D1 championship on June 12th. It aims to be a hub where broadcasts of baseball, softball, and Baseball 5 matches in France are gathered.
It has aired matches from La Rochelle by the Boucaniers de La Rochelle since June. On Sunday, August 15th, it relayed the YouTube channel of the Barracudas de Montpellier, and on Saturday, August 21st, and Sunday, August 22nd, it also broadcast the YouTube channel of the Templiers de Sénart. The three Division 1 clubs that provide broadcasts are all present on the app.
It will be present for the France Challenge taking place in La Rochelle, where you can follow all the matches from September 2nd to 5th.
Each day, an article is shared (portrait, in-depth piece, announcement…) on all sports. Those who have downloaded the app and created an account in the settings can comment, like, and even write articles in the community tab.
In just two months of existence, nearly 700 of you have already downloaded it.
Areas for Improvement
Broadcasts often rely on one or two people. Romain Thomas and his team in Montpellier, Thomas Houlez and his team in Sénart, Didier Cannioux and his team in La Rochelle. All are volunteers working without a safety net. Here, a bug, a technical failure, a camera or microphone issue… there, network, connection, or encoding problems… Not to mention YouTube’s shenanigans, which block access to live or replay due to music rights issues.
Sometimes, the solution is straightforward, other times more complicated, but we’re all moving in the same direction to keep improving with each broadcast. Everyone is giving their all to let you watch the best moments of this great sport in France live and on replay.
So, thank you for your support and encouragement.
