As Baseball TV France prepares to close a chapter in 2026, it will be the last one. And perhaps one of the most emotional.
For almost six years, thanks to you, this independent and volunteer media has grown, match after match, article after article, at the rhythm of French baseball, softball and baseball5. Thanks to you, it has existed. And sometimes even, it has vibrated stronger than the stands.
The year 2025 will remain as a summit.
– 268 articles published, as many looks on our fields.
– 96 matches broadcasted, with what the direct has most beautiful: the unforeseen, the tension, the thrill.
– 1,690 messages exchanged: a living, committed, faithful community.
A remarkable article, « French Baseball Softball: the season of too much? », read 1,589 times, proof that the debate never ends.
And thousands of passionate people around the world gathered on social networks, season after season.

More than 8,500 users have downloaded the app since March 2020.
More than 1,500 articles have been written.
More than 400 matches have been broadcasted, commented on, shared.
Launched almost anonymously, Baseball TV France has established itself as a must-visit for those who love these often-invisible sports. A reference point. A window. A voice.
Behind this voice, there were volunteers:
Didier, Aline, François, Sébastien, Vincent, Thomas, Fabrice, Laurent, Maxence, Michael, Valentine, Raina, Benjamin, Alexandra, Laurine.
Names before signatures. Hours given without counting. A passion stronger than fatigue.
But the fact remains. French baseball and softball are still struggling to find their place. Volunteers are exhausted in their clubs. Human and financial resources are lacking. Local authorities often look elsewhere, attracted by more visible, established and numerous sports.
Development is stagnating. Structuring projects come back as promises that have never been kept: a unified broadcasting platform, a real national center to be a place of embodiment of these disciplines… White elephants that still do not break the surface.

However, hope remains.
Let’s wish these sports a long life.
Let’s wish that the light finally floods them, even if it only gathers small crowds at first.
Let’s wish that French players shine here as much as elsewhere.
And that this little ball of leather finally finds its place in the collective imagination, maybe one day symbolically with a blue rather than red seam.
For us, the time has come to pass the baton.
Baseball TV France, carried only by volunteers, can no longer continue.
Unless a successor, among you, wishes to write the next chapter, (contact us at redaction@baseballtv.fr), the adventure ends with this editorial. Without regret. With lucidity. And with the feeling of the duty accomplished.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for believing.
Thank you for sharing.
THANK YOU.
