Two New Standings for Division 1 Clubs: Communication and Broadcast in the Spotlight!
Fans are used to tracking the sporting standings of Division 1 teams each season, marked by wins and losses. But beyond on-field performances, other factors influence a club’s dynamics. Recognizing that communication and broadcast play a key role in team visibility and appeal, and building on five years of analyzing baseball stakeholders, the editorial team at Baseball TV France has decided to innovate with two new standings that will be updated throughout the season, subjectively.
Communication: Which Club Masters Its Image Best?
Inform, engage, federate: communication is now a crucial tool for a baseball club. We will evaluate several aspects:
- Publication frequency: how regularly do clubs communicate with their audience?
- Diversity of channels used: social media, websites, blogs, press releases, posters…
- Content quality: layout, graphics, videos, animations…
Each club will be scored on 10 criteria, with a continuous evaluation out of 100 points throughout the season.
Broadcast: Delivering the Best Experience for Fans

This year, the Federation requires Division 1 clubs to broadcast their home games live.
Here’s the official text from the regulations:
Ensure video capture of each home game and broadcast it live. The video must at least include a wide-angle camera behind the backstop. Clubs must also ensure the production includes live scoring of the game; Make videos available to the Federation for future use, including promotions and compilations.
A successful broadcast goes beyond simple capture:
- Image and sound quality
- Reliability of live scoring
- Multiplicity of camera angles
- Presence of commentary and innovative additions (interviews, radars, analyses…)
These criteria will be scrutinized from the first matchday to establish a weekly ranking.
A First Verdict on Communication Before Opening Day

With less than ten days until the season kicks off, it’s already possible to assess the clubs’ communication efforts, which have had all winter to refine their strategies. We reveal our first ranking before Opening Day, ahead of a new evaluation after the first matchday.
Baseball TV France commits to closely following these trends. Which club will perform best off the field? Stay tuned every week during the season with our exclusive rankings!
