Softball Masculin: Kick-off in Évry
The softball men’s team kicks off the festivities this weekend of May 1st. In a format similar to the 2025 championship configuration, four teams are in the running: Nice, Évry, Nogent and Contes.

The defending champions, the Cavigals de Nice, are putting their crown on the line, probably for the last time in this format. From next year, the competition will be expanded to six teams competing in Division 1, marking a turning point in its history.
Organized in Evry, the tournament is structured around six matches played on Friday and Saturday, with each team playing three matches. The semi-final will be held on Saturday at 6 pm, followed by a classification match on Sunday morning, before a final scheduled for 2 pm.
On paper, Évry and Contes have a slight advantage. However, the Challenges de France have this particularity of shuffling the cards: the sequence of matches, the management of pitchers, the pressure of the short format… all these factors make predictions fragile.
Division 1 Baseball: Tense Fourth Day
Three games on the schedule for the fourth day of Division 1. Notably, the game between La Rochelle and PUC has been postponed to May 23, as the Pershing field is undergoing renovations.

Béziers – Rouen
Rouen is entering a phase of dominance and is further strengthening its arsenal with the arrival of Japanese pitcher Ryusuke Ito. Béziers, on the other hand, is finally playing its first home game after three away games. The “opening day” effect could come into play: in front of their home crowd, the Pirates have a card to play.
Prediction: tie.
Sénart – Montpellier
Montpellier remains on a first defeat, conceded at home against Savigny. Sénart, on the other hand, shows a new resilience. The Templars seem armed to compete with the depth of the Barracudas.
Prediction: tie.
Savigny – Toulouse
First match in night (7 pm) on the illuminated field of Chartres. Toulouse, accustomed to complicated trips, discovers this new field. Savigny, solid, could take advantage of it to fully relaunch itself in the race for the top.
Prediction: double victory of Savigny.
Division 2 Baseball: The Lines Are Starting to Move
On the third day in Division 2, and already a first hierarchy is emerging. Meyzieu, Metz, Montigny and Nice are at the top of the table, but this weekend could clarify the positions more.

Montpellier – Valenciennes
Two struggling teams that could neutralize each other.
Prediction: draw.
Nice – Meyzieu
Choc between teams in form. At home, Meyzieu seems to have the tools to contain the Cavigals.
Prediction: double victory for Meyzieu.
Bréal – Ermont
Two difficult starts to the season. Ermont has the opportunity to bounce back and catch up with the pack.
Prediction: double victory for Ermont.
Metz – Clermont
The Cometz want to keep their place at the top and can count on their home attack. Clermont won’t give up easily.
Prediction: advantage Metz.
Montigny – Rouen
Montigny arrives lancé, while Rouen struggles more in this division. The Cougars seem able to confirm their dynamic. Pronostic : double victoire de Montigny.
