In the two years since Covid, baseball match broadcasts have become increasingly common. The Templiers de Sénart, followed by the Boucaniers de La Rochelle, were joined by the Huskies de Rouen and the Vipères de Valenciennes. This led to the creation of Baseball TV France, which allows all video streams produced in France to be relayed.
During events (various challenges or championships), broadcasts in Chartres, Montpellier have existed temporarily. Finally, via phone and Facebook or Swislive, some minimalist broadcasts can exist. Of course, one must distinguish between a multi-camera control room capable of following the action, making close-ups with commentary, and a phone shot that only allows a rough view of the game and correctly follows the score.
However, this influx of images is going to change behaviors more deeply than we think.

The coaches can better analyze their team and the individual players. Verify if their strategies made sense. Then, through training, work on the areas of progress they can develop to improve technically, individually, and collectively all their players. Review matches collectively with analysis…

In fact, these same players would be well advised to pay attention to certain unsightly ‘tics’: spitting, scratching different parts of the body, inappropriate gestures towards opponents or teammates…. While for now, no regulatory impact is possible, these actions can be the start of a reputation that, with proof, can spread on social networks…

The officials as well, who can question errors in names, incorrect line-up images, statistics that take a long time to enter and broadcast. Nothing is actually planned to give the line-ups to the video control room so that it prepares the visuals; if it is possible to do it on the first match, the second is almost impossible to fill. Yet, on foreign channels, the line-ups are correct and filled for each match. Shouldn’t we ask the coaches to provide the line-ups earlier, subject to changes due to injuries or emergencies?

The number of viewers is steadily increasing; 600 live views were achieved during the European Cup, and we will soon reach 1,000 and more…
