Division 1 Baseball
A new day of Division 1 confirmed what many were starting to sense: the top teams of 2025 are no longer reigning supreme in the championship. Montpellier and Rouen each dropped a match this weekend against Toulouse and La Rochelle. Meanwhile, Sénart and Savigny continue to gain momentum and are now among the most in-form teams of the moment.

At home, the Templiers de Sénart had to fight to beat Béziers twice, with each victory decided by a minimal difference. The Parisians showed more control during the decisive moments. Emile Brelle once again delivered a solid performance on the mound, while Gabriel Do Carmo shone during the second game with an impressive 3 out of 4 at bat and three points scored, including a home run. It should be noted that several individual performances were combined, which the club holds, in the absence of the federation: Yorfrank Lopez achieved 700 strike-outs in more than 10 years of career in France, and Felix Brown achieved 400 hits. However, the Pirates did not disappoint: more hits, fewer defensive errors, but a cruel lack of efficiency in concluding their offensive innings.
Savigny, on the other hand, gave a collective demonstration against PUC during a double confrontation played on Saturday afternoon and evening under the spotlights. More hits, fewer errors and especially RBIs at the best moment: the Lions gave a real lesson in efficiency. PUC continues to show good intentions but still struggles to raise its defensive level and produce a sufficiently constant attack to compensate for its inaccuracies. The situation is becoming delicate for the Parisians, who will have to take advantage of the French Challenge to gain confidence before a May 23 weekend that is already crucial against La Rochelle and its two make-up matches.
In La Rochelle, the Boucaniers perfectly built their success on Saturday against the Huskies. The pitching duo Krzykawiak – Hernoux perfectly contained the Rouen attack, while Jose Peña illuminated the game with two home runs and six RBI, a capital performance that undoubtedly earns him the title of man of the match. The next day, the scenario was completely different: defensive errors and walks on four balls gave Rouen the victory, but the Huskies are still far from their usual dominance over the past few weeks.
In the South derby, Toulouse hit hard from the first game. The Perdomo, Baisse, Soriano and Velazco quartet literally pierced the Montpellier defense with 11 hits out of the 15 of his team. Result: a victory shortened by mercy rule for an irresistible Tigers. Montpellier reacted in the second match thanks to the power of Brossier and Mendez. The former continues to dominate the offensive statistics of the league with already 21 hits and 15 runs since the start of the season. In the end, the draw appears logical between two teams that are evenly matched.
Division 1 Softball Féminine

The Comanches continue their solo ride. Match after match, Saint-Raphaël rolls on with impressive serenity and Grenoble never seemed able to stop the Varois machine.
Pessac confirms its excellent start to the season with a convincing double victory against Nice. The Panthers may not have as much dominance as the Comanches, but their dense and balanced team allows them to assert themselves as a serious contender.
Evry also perfectly fulfilled its mission by winning against Colombes. The second match was postponed due to weather reasons.
In the standings, three teams are clearly starting to stand out. For Nice, however, the rest of the season is already looking complicated.
Division 2 Baseball
When the FFBS servers crash, the habits of French baseball resurface: no live tracking, you have to wait until the evening – or even the next day – to discover the results.
And once the systems are restored, some major surprises have emerged. The most striking comes from Montigny, who achieved a double victory against Meyzieu, another team announced among the favorites. Metz achieved the same performance against Rouen, with two well-controlled victories.
Breal also continues its excellent dynamic by dominating Montpellier. It should be noted that clubs that already have a team in Division 1, such as Montpellier or Rouen, do not necessarily have the objective of promotion but rather the development of their pool and the progression of locally trained players.
Finally, Valenciennes and Clermont neutralized each other. The two formations, which had dominated Division 2 in recent seasons without managing to reach the elite, seem this year to be slightly slowing down compared to the recovered power of the relegated teams from Division 1, which are Montigny and Metz.
