No-hitter

No-hitter

Honus:

It’s the year of the no-hitter! After Turnbull from Detroit, it’s the Yankees’ turn with Corey Kluber this week.
This is already the 6th “no-no” this season, and the 2012 record of 7 is within reach. But what’s happening in MLB? At this rate, we could see at least a dozen.
This MLB pitching dominance is unprecedented: The batting average is currently .236 (!!!). Don’t let game highlights and home run compilations fool you: pitchers are ultra-dominant in 2021.

The .400 batter has become a legend (Mike Trout?). However, be careful: Contrary to what some might think, we’re not at all in a Dead Ball Era revival (batting averages were very high back then).
2021 represents a new era in the game that we could call the “All In Era”: either home run or out. In short, the Joey Gallo Era 😜
At Honus, we’ve already filed the copyright for this expression!
