Softball Division 1 Women: Grenoble Falls, Colombes Seize the Opportunity
A brief weekend of competition in Division 1 Women, with only three games on this matchday. While the top of the standings was already set, the fight for fourth place remained all‑in, contested between the Wildcats of Colombes and the Grizzlys of Grenoble.
Facing the Pharaonnes of Évry, the Grenobloises had their fate in their hands. But the Isère squad failed to seize the moment. After a first loss of 10-0, the Grizzlys had to bow out again in the second game, 9-2.
A heavy double setback that ultimately left Grenoble in fifth place in the standings. This, in turn, does the perfect job for the Wildcats of Colombes, who capture fourth place and secure their ticket to the play‑offs despite their loss to the Comanches.

A single delayed match pitted the Comanches against the Wilds Cats, who were unable to get anything out of the Ogres of St Raphael, who sign a perfect regular season without a single defeat.
Play‑offs Ahead!
The next round takes place on 19 and 20 September for the start of the final phases. The semi‑finals will be played in a best‑of‑three format, with two matchups already promising exciting showdowns.
On one side, the Comanches of Saint‑Raphael, impressive this season and undefeated in the league — except for their European Cup run — will face the Wildcats of Colombes, major beneficiaries of the last day.
In the other semi‑final, the Pharaonnes of Évry will take on Égalité de Pessac, two teams that know each other well and should deliver a particularly hard‑fought series.
