The Junior Baseball5 Euro Championship kicks off this Tuesday, September 29th, at the Arténium in Ceyrat, the same venue that successfully hosted the 2023 and 2024 French Baseball5 Opens on January 20th and 21st.
WBSC Europe has awarded the rights to organize the 2024 Youth Baseball5 Euro Championship to the Arvernes – Clermont Auvergne Baseball Softball club.

Following the French Baseball5 Internationals held in Toulouse last July, France continues its strategy of hosting international competitions with the 2nd edition of the Euro Championship, where France is the defending champion, having won the title in Bulgaria in November 2022.

The juniors will have the third-place finish of the French team at the last World Championships in Hong Kong in their rearview mirror. French ambitions are clearly set on winning this championship, and it’s all the easier since they’re playing at home. However, the favorite’s position can also add extra pressure to manage.
The Euro Championship is the first step in the qualification process for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar. The Euro Championship is indeed a qualifier for the 2025 World Cup, which in turn is a qualifier for the YOG.

The competition starts this Tuesday, with France in Group A, facing Moldova and Belgium in the group stages today.
