Five sports federations, including the WBSC (World Baseball and Softball Confederation), will participate in organizing eSports tournaments. As a prelude to the Tokyo Games this summer, several tournaments will be held. For baseball, the chosen game is eBaseball Powerful Pro Baseball 2020.
The IOC has tasked virtual sports specialist DreamHack Sports Games with marketing and producing the Olympic Virtual Series.
