Since yesterday, the 17U Baseball5 competition has been underway in Sofia, Bulgaria.
France is in Group A and is one of the 14 teams vying for this European championship.
Led by Lahcene Benhamida, just like the senior team (which finished 9th in the World Cup), the four French boys and four girls have already made a strong start to the competition. 3 wins and 1 loss. Indeed, the Turks edged out the French in a nail-biter (5-4). The French, however, dominated their matches against Bulgaria (5-0), Moldova (15-1), and Latvia (5-1). France is therefore top of their pool after the first matchday.
