All Stars Teams: Place for the Best

At mid‑season, the editorial team at Baseball TV France unveiled its first all‑stars lineup, highlighting the most outstanding players from the start of the championship. With the regular season now over and the playoffs about to begin, it’s time to reset the scores and review the individual performances of this season. For this new exercise, the editorial team chose to distinguish two categories: 23U and Seniors. For the seniors, three teams will be highlighted: the All‑Stars team, composed of the most impactful players of the season, the best defenders team, rewarding players who excelled with their defensive quality and impact, and finally the best hitters team, gathering the batters who had the biggest offensive impact. These choices are inevitably subjective, but they are based on the performances observed throughout the season. So, who were the players that defined the regular season? Here are Baseball TV France’s dream teams before the playoffs start!

All Stars 23U

Pitcher: Brelle (Sen), Catcher: Dussart (PUC), 1st Base: Lebouc (Rou), 2nd Base: Laufenbuchler (LaR), 3rd Base: Bouniol (Mpt), Shortstop: Nayral (Mpt), Right Field: Martinez-Bouvier (Sav), Left Field: Limouzin (Bez), Center Field: I.Bamberger (Tou), Designated Hitter: Briones (LaR) Choosing a pitcher was tough, between Brelle, Krzykawiak, Lesfargues, Chevet – it was ultimately the consistency and MPM of the Sénart player that made the difference. The other positions sparked less debate; Dussart easily outpaced Chaligné behind the plate, Lebouc was unchallenged at 1B, we positioned Laufenbuchler at 2B, the spot had few candidates and Bouniol was indisputable at 3B, as was Nayral at shortstop, despite Rioux’s efforts. Tanigawa, Gerberon and Landry were mentioned for the outfield, and Briones stood alone in his world as DH.

All‑Star Senior

Pitcher: Pena (Sav), Catcher: Acuna, 1st Base: Rosell (LaR), 2nd Base: Farina (Mpt), 3rd Base: Bouniol (Mpt), Shortstop: Meza (Bez), Left Field: I.Bamberger (Tou), Center Field: Brossier (Mpt), Right Field: Pena (LaR), Designated Hitter: Briones (LaR) Pena outpaced Mercadier with his presence throughout the season. Acuna performed a bit better than Mendez, Rosell was more complete than Velazco, Farina was narrowly preferred over Harrison. Bouniol, Meza, Bamberger, Brossier, Pena and Briones were unanimous.

Defense

Pitcher: Ito (Rou), Catcher: Mendez (Mpt), 1st Base: Rosell (LaR), 2nd Base: Harrison (Rou), 3rd Base: Bouniol (Mpt), Shortstop: Meza (Bez); Left Field: Vissac (Rou), Center Field: Brossier (Mpt), Right Field: Pena (LaR) With 11 assists, Ito dominates the pitchers. Mendez was dominant in all circumstances behind the plate. No suspense in the infield, Rosell (1 error), Harrison (2 errors), Bouniol (3 errors), Meza (.961) truly dominated their positions. It’s hard to single out a left fielder; Bissac’s 0 errors let him outpace Soulier, Tranberger or Bamberger. Unanimous at center for Brossier and in right for Pena.

Offense

Catch: Acuna (Sav), 1st Base: Velazco (Tou), 2nd Base: L.Amoros (Sav), 3rd Base: Bouniol (Mpt), Shortstop: Meza (Bez), Left Field: I.Bamberger (Tou), Center Field: Brossier (Mpt), Right Field: Pena (LaR), Designated Hitter: Briones (LaR) Even though he spent most of his season at shortstop, Acuna also played behind the plate, always with the same effectiveness. Velazco was a bit more complete and effective than Rosell, L.Amoros’s power gave him an edge over Farina and Harrison, Bouniol (despite Brainville) and Meza (despite Soriano) were the most productive, no hesitation in the outfield or at DH.
