The expected and the surprises from various competitions.
Division 1 Baseball
Rouen took the lead in both away games against Toulouse. The first match was tighter, but the second allowed Rouen to head into next weekend’s return with a comfortable advantage.
Montpellier at home hosted Savigny. Errors in the second half of the game made the difference in favor of the Lions, who, like Rouen, are in the best possible position to approach the second weekend.
For survival in Division 1, Montigny and Sénart split the two matches with reversed scores. Few points and the suspense is growing. The two teams will meet next week in Sénart to continue to decide.
Division 2 Baseball
Bréal sous Monfort and Clermont Ferrand split the first two matches. The third match went in favor of Bréal, who secured their ticket to the semifinals. They will face Béziers next weekend.
The PUC and Nice also split the first two matches. The third match allowed the Cavigals de Nice to succeed in reaching the semifinal challenge against Valenciennes next weekend.
On the relegation side, Rouen 2 and Eysines, after their two victories, are on vacation.
Division 1 Women’s Softball
A victory for the Comanches de Saint Raphael against the Pharonnes d’Evry, a good start for next weekend.
