Second big weekend of bat sports. Divisions 1 and 2 in both baseball and softball are in full swing. Here’s a look at the upcoming matchups:
Division 1 Baseball

Second round of the championship. After the surprises of the first round with the strong performances of Metz and La Rochelle, who got off to a good start in their championship, it’s time for open matchups.
The two leaders Rouen and La Rochelle will face off in maritime territory. Given the first matchups, we’d be tempted to predict a split between the two teams.
Sénart hosts Toulouse and will be eager to get on the board after two heavy defeats in Rouen. The stadium will have to reassure itself about its ability to perform away, which was its Achilles’ heel last year. A split is also likely here.
Savigny will host Montpellier. The two teams already split in the first round. The clash should be revealing of the strength of both teams. A split also seems a serious possibility.
Two teams will take a break for a postponed match later in the season. The Montigny field is occupied, and Metz’s field isn’t ready to host a competition yet. The field under construction will be ready by the end of April.
Note that all matches will take place on Sunday at 11 AM and 2 PM, and two matchups will be broadcast: La Rochelle vs. Rouen and Sénart vs. Toulouse. Baseball TV France will stream the live coverage online at www.baseballtv.fr for your TV or on the Baseball TV France app on your phone.
Division 2 Baseball

Third round of the championship for both pools.
In Pool A, Valenciennes is undefeated and will face the second-place team, PUC, this weekend.
Rouen needs to bounce back against the third-place team, Ronchin. La Guerche, which has started well, will work hard to keep Sénart at bay.
In Pool B, it’s Meyzieu, which is undefeated, facing the 2023 champions, Béziers.
Anglet will need to reassure itself against a familiar club, the Girondins d’Eysines.
Women’s Softball Division 1

Third round of the championship. Saint-Raphaël is leading without a loss and will travel to face Nice. Évry and Grenoble have had a rough start to the championship, and unless they split, one of the two teams will breathe easier in case of a victory.
Finally, Pessac and Clapiers will battle for second place, knowing that Clapiers can challenge the leaders Saint-Raphaël on this third round.
Men’s Softball Division 1

Toulouse hosts the four softball teams, which will be slightly short-handed due to some players heading to Division 1 or 2 baseball.
The standings are currently not very revealing, given the irregular number of matches played by each team. However, we hope that the local team, Stade Toulousain, can turn things around after their three straight losses.
