Baseball – Division 1: Montpellier Strikes Hard, Rouen Sinks
The France Challenge hinted at some nerves among the top teams in D1. This weekend confirmed it: the hierarchy is shaking, and yesterday’s leaders are stumbling.
Rouen, in deep reflection for several weeks, collapsed against Montpellier. The Huskies first took a heavy 8-1 loss, weighed down by a catastrophic second inning on the mound, while the Barracudas showed their teeth. The second act was much tighter, with a thrilling back-and-forth… until Kovacs sealed the game with a walk-off hit that propels Montpellier alone to the top of the standings.
La Rochelle and Toulouse played to a draw, each keeping an eye on the top of the table.
Behind, Rouen remains in touch, but La Rochelle and Sénart are catching up in third place. Toulouse rounds out the top five, while Béziers, Metz, and Savigny bring up the rear.

Women’s Softball – Division 1: Saint-Raphaël and Paris Off to a Flying Start
The Comanches of Saint-Raphaël didn’t flinch against Colombes, stringing together two clean victories. The same scenario played out for the Pharaonnes of Paris, who gave Clapiers no chance.
At the top of the standings, Saint-Raphaël and Paris are pulling away, while at the other end, Colombes and Clapiers are feeling the pressure. Pessac and Grenoble, who neutralized each other this weekend, keep their hopes alive for third place.

Baseball – Division 2: One-Sided Weekend
No suspense in D2 this weekend: all eight matches went one way.
In Pool A, Montigny did the job against Bréal with two victories that put the Cougars back in second place. The PUC, meanwhile, prevailed twice against Rouen 2, the cellar dweller of the group, mimicking the first team’s struggles.

In Pool B, Nice pulled off a coup by handing Meyzieu two defeats, allowing the Eagles to tie for first place. Finally, Clermont caught a breath by dominating La Vallée du Gapeau twice and left the last place.
