Women’s Softball – Division 1: Top teams draw, Pessac makes a splash
The showdown between the Comanches and the Pharaohs ended in a split, with each side taking a game in this clash of the favorites. Meanwhile, Pessac pulled off a double victory against Colombes, a solid boost to their standings.

Clapiers, the bottom-dweller so far, finally got on the board with a win over Grenoble. A relief that reignites some momentum for the club. The standings are spreading out, but nothing is decided yet: the next matchdays will be crucial.
Baseball – Division 2: Meysieu and Valenciennes flex their muscles
In Pool A, Valenciennes keeps rolling with victories and extends their lead at the top. Rouen, meanwhile, finally secured their first win, but remains last in the standings.

In Pool B, Meysieu continues their impressive unbeaten run and dominates the competition. Nice hangs tough, while Vallée du Gapeau and Clermont-Ferrand struggle to keep up with the pace set by the group’s two powerhouses.

Baseball – Division 1: Béziers pulls off a shock, status quo at the top
The suspense remains alive in Division 1, and this weekend didn’t lack for twists. Against all odds, Béziers made a statement by handing two losses to the solid favorite Sénart. A monumental performance that allows the Biterrois to catch their breath in the standings, distancing themselves from the drop zone and putting Metz and Savigny under pressure.
Rouen and Savigny canceled each other out, as did Montpellier and Toulouse, along with Metz and La Rochelle. A series of draws that keep the standings in a certain balance.

Next week, it’s time for the Challenge de France: a strategic tournament to gain playing time and build confidence before returning to the championship, where La Rochelle and Toulouse will make up their postponed matches on May 17th.

Some thoughts from coaches, presidents, and managers
David Ten Eyck, Metz
The second match is one to forget, of course. But we showed on Saturday that we can beat anyone. Now we’re focusing on the Challenge de France. It will be a historic moment for our club, and we want to go far in the competition.
Olivier Brossier, Montpellier
A great satisfaction to have defied expectations and sent a message to the championship that trips to Béziers will be tough. And above all, we were stung by letting slip 2-3 matches at the start of the season. Beyond everything, I salute my pitchers JFL who did a great job, as they did last Sunday. Well supported, it’s true, by the best offense in the championship. With 5 wins, we’re on our planned route.
Ijima for Sénart
These were two tough matches. We will continue to train, and I will do my best to help the team reach the playoffs and win the championship.
Pablo Ossandon for La Rochelle
The truth is I’m happy with Sunday’s win, a difference of several points, but at the same time very sad about Saturday’s one-point loss. I think we gave away the match. We had defensive errors that cost us dearly, a four-run inning with two errors, and well, we learned from our mistakes to keep moving forward in the championship. The good thing yesterday was that a promising young pitcher from our team, Tom Hernoux, threw a very good match. Unfortunately, the defense didn’t support him, but well, we continue in the competition and the objectives are clear.
Yanael Delpech for Toulouse
We faced a well-organized Montpellier team that came into the day with a lot of drive and showed their ability to hit hard. Our team reacted well in the first match, coming back from a six-run deficit and nearly tying the score with a powerful line drive by Velazco into the third baseman’s glove with the bases loaded.
In the second match, the Toulouse collective responded strongly after conceding a home run on the second pitch of the game by Paolo Brossier! Note the performance of veteran pitcher Euri Garcia, who chained more than 7 innings without a run to secure the win.
After facing two serious title contenders, the Stade team continues to progress and fine-tune their roster, showing great ambition in a thrilling race for the playoffs and the title.
Ivan Acuna for Savigny
Two very close matches, even if the scores say otherwise. Now, it’s up to us to keep improving, many positive things continue to happen.
François Bonnet for Béziers
