Coaches, players, and presidents are best placed to talk about it. Each week, our journalist and Division 1 player, Maxence Esteban will return in video interviewing a team, particularly the one faced the previous weekend. This week, a meeting with Dylan and Tom Mayeux from Montigny. This is complemented by a quick and hot reaction from the other teams.
Tigers de Toulouse – Yanael Delpech
A moment awaited to see the level of competitiveness and the relevance of our recruitment choices without foreign reinforcements, unlike the other 7 title contenders.
Very strong start by our pitching staff, particularly the two starters Rojas and Laot, but also John Will Garcia, who was sharp from the get-go in his new role as closer. The recruits Navarro and Scavo lived up to expectations, reinforcing the line-up and solidifying the defense.
Boucaniers de la Rochelle – Pablo Ossandon
A very united team that played a well-planned strategy. Young warriors mixed with seasoned veterans. A very promising result for an opening day away from home.
Lions de Savigny – Ivan Acuna
A tough day for the away game on the same day.
Our skills and efforts were there all day, even if there was physical and mental fatigue.
Our team is heading in the right direction for progress.
A great day of baseball in France, with pitchers, defense, and umpiring at the top all day.
Cometz de Metz – David Ten Eyck
We are very happy with this first day. The team is not yet complete, and our field was flooded for a week before the matches, so not ideal for preparation. But we played two clean games, and we didn’t let up physically – the off-season work paid off. Now, it’s just one victory taken. To secure a playoff spot, we’ll probably need 15. It’s going to be a fight all season long to get there. A special mention for Algeni, who immediately showed he will be one of the great catchers in the history of our club – in the tradition of Kyle Ford and Omar Prieto.

Summary by Huskies TV of the eight teams over the last four years.
Huskies de Rouen – Quentin Becquey
The players slammed their fists on the table yesterday to silence the skeptics.
The team spirit of our collective still has room for improvement. Just like our offense, ready to do anything for our pitchers.
For some, a mercy rule situation is a situation where we must stop playing offensively.
I hear and understand that, but stopping a game in the 7th inning allows us to save the arms of our pitchers and speed up their recovery for the following weekend.
I won’t apologize for a player who tears it up on base to protect the pitchers of his team.
Cougars de Montigny – Dylan Mayeux
The team is still in the building phase, and we need to unite to become stronger. We all worked hard this winter, and we still have some key points to adjust.
The season is long, and when we get going, we’ll show a different face.
Barracudas de Montpellier – Owen Ozanich
Championship hangover? Maybe. We need to pay more attention to the details and prepare better during the week. I’m happy with our French players who did a good job against Metz.
Templiers de Sénart: Julien Brelle Andrade
Some recruits have shown that the team can already count on their performances, but others still need to make adjustments to get up to speed.
Young players from the club have shown their ability to step up right from this first big test, but others have seen the work that still needs to be done.
The team must react as early as the upcoming weekend with the reception of Toulouse at the Templiers Stadium in front of our supporters.
