Le duel entre la réserve des Huskies et les finalistes lyonnais a tenu toutes ses promesses, offrant deux visages radicalement opposés du baseball de haut niveau.
Dans le premier acte, Rouen a frappé un grand coup en s’imposant 4-1. Cette victoire porte un nom : Arthur Magnien. Le lanceur rouennais a livré une prestation magistrale, tenant 7 manches complètes en ne concédant que 3 hits et un seul run. Face à lui, la machine offensive de Meyzieu s’est grippée, malgré les efforts de Thibaut Duroux (1 hit, 1 run). Louis Gerberon (2 hits) et Martin Vissac (1 hit, 2 RBI) ont été les artisans du réalisme normand.
Vexés par ce revers matinal, les Lyonnais ont remis les pendules à l’heure l’après-midi (9-2). Si le début de match a été accroché, l’attaque des Cards a fini par user le staff rouennais.
Diaz a été le seul à marquer, profitant d’une erreur de la défense.
Le soir, les deux équipes ont livré un match plus serré. Les Cougars ont pris les devants grâce à un home run de leur 1B, Jérémy Gomez, qui a également été le meilleur frappeur de son équipe avec 2 hits en 3 présences au bâton. Les Vipères ont répliqué avec 4 points en 4e manche, mais Montigny a su réagir en marquant 5 points en 5e.
En 7e manche, les Vipères ont réussi à revenir à 8-7 grâce à un home run de leur 3B, Yohan Boucher. Mais les Cougars ont su garder leur calme et ont marqué un point en 8e manche pour remporter la victoire.
A noter la belle performance du 3B des Cougars, Jules Boucher, qui a frappé un double et un triple en 3 présences au bâton.
Nice Cavigal vs Montpellier 2 Barracudas 12 – 2 puis 17 – 7 (Nice) (Nice) Le Cavigal de Nice a confirmé sa puissance de feu en balayant la réserve montpelliéraine. Avec 29 runs marqués sur la journée, les Niceois ont dominé les deux matchs. Le premier s’est soldé par une victoire 12-2, et le second par une victoire 17-7.The Azuréens sent a clear message: their attack is the most dangerous in the league.
The first match was a formality for Nice (12-2). Danny Agustin Michel was once again imperial, pitching 5 innings with 7 strikeouts. Metz made a big statement this Sunday, starting the season with a defensive performance that will go down in history.
The first game in Metz was the stage for a rare feat. Ismael Abraham Soto Arellano threw a no-hitter in 5 innings of total domination. 8 strikeouts, no hits, no worries. Backed by a sharp Ashton Neuman at the plate (2 hits, 2 RBI), Metz crushed Breal 14-0. A clinical performance that puts the Cometz among the scares of the pool.
Breal tried to bounce back in the second duel, but the damage was done. The Cometz, under the leadership of Mathieu Launay on the mound, managed their lead to win 9-4. Despite the courage of Sami Makdad and Rowan Barbosa-Dias, the Black Panthers were never able to close the gap dug in the early innings by a formidable Metz lineup.
Clermont Arvernes vs Ermont Expos
5 – 0 Clermont puis 15 – 7 Ermont
At Clermont, the spectators witnessed two games that were the complete opposite, perfectly symbolizing the beauty and cruelty of baseball.
The first game was a recital by Gen Taguchi. The Clermont pitcher delivered a titanic performance: 15 strikeouts in 7 innings! With only 2 hits allowed and no runs, Taguchi literally carried his team to a shutout (5-0). Sébastien Grimaud and Jeremy Blasolle provided the necessary offensive support to validate this victory of prestige.
We thought Clermont was on the fast track, but Ermont reacted with an unexpected offensive fury in the afternoon. The Expos took advantage of the fatigue of the Arverne staff to score 15 points, including a 4th inning of anthology with 5 points. Nathan Miranda pockets the victory, well helped by the Clermont defense.By a come-from-behind win where Nathan Miranda (yes, him again, at the bat this time!) and David Devieze made their pitch count. Clermont loses 15-7 in a crazy game, leaving both teams with a fair sharing of points.

This weekend redistributed the cards.
