From Tuesday, August 8th to Saturday, August 12th, eight teams – Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic – will compete in the U23 European Baseball Championship in Wiener Neustadt, Austria.
From Tuesday to Thursday, the eight teams will be split into two groups for a round-robin tournament. Group A includes France, Italy, Belgium, and Germany, while Group B includes the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Austria, and the Netherlands. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals on Friday. The final will take place on Saturday at 7 PM.

Following the shift from U-21 to U-23 for the 2017 season, three U-23 European Baseball Championships have been held in 2017 in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, in 2019 in Prague, Czech Republic, and in 2021 in Verona, Italy. The Netherlands have won twice, including the last edition two years ago. The Czech Republic triumphed in 2019. Germany finished in second place in the last two championships. The Czech Republic also won a silver medal. Belgium has claimed bronze twice, while Italy has finished third once.

The France group

The matches of the U23 European Baseball Championship will be played at the grounds of the Diving Ducks Wiener Neustadt and the Blue Bats Schwechat. During the preliminary round, matches are scheduled daily at 10 AM, 2:30 PM, 4 PM, and 7:30 PM. All matches can be followed live on the website www.wbsceurope.org, while the WBSC Europe YouTube channel offers live streaming.
