The baseball season is about to begin. In France, regional and junior matches have started. In the USA, summer training camps ‘spring training’ let us enjoy great action again, especially with the new rules, including the clock regulating batter and pitcher preparation times.
On March 7th, tomorrow, the world of baseball will flood the media with these major matches featuring the best nations in the world. 20 nations with star-studded rosters, celebrity players, and head coaches.

Bein sport lets us watch the qualifying matches in the original language for commentary, whether it’s the pool in Florida or the one in Japan. Then, the finals from March 18th to 21st will be commented on in French.
Will it be the Americans, favorites alongside the Dominicans, who will claim the world title? Japan, the last Olympic champions, will try to claim their spot. Of course, the Olympic rosters don’t include many MLB players. The level will be the highest in the world in this MLB World Championship format of the World Baseball Classic.
On the European side, the Dutch can hope to outperform the Asian and South American nations. But the task is daunting. The English, the Czechs, the Israelis, and the Italians will do their best, but don’t expect any surprises. The French, as you know, couldn’t advance beyond the qualifying stages despite the presence of star coach Bruce Bochy, who has since become the new leader of the Rangers in MLB.
The opening match pits Cuba against the Netherlands this Tuesday, March 7th.
